Bridge Designer II  FAQ
Here are answers to many questions about the Bridge Designer II product: 

I have five engineers, can they each use the Bridge Designer II program? 
Bridge Designer is licensed PER USER. Each user must have a registered hardlock connected to their computer to use the product.  Our support system is configured to track this based on customer product registration.   IDS has a set-up an aggressive discount schedule for multiple copies of the Bridge Designer II program.  Please refer to the Pricing page.

How do I get updates and support for Bridge Designer? 
You must subscribe to a Maintenance Agreement and purchase a one year Support Agreement.  As part of this Agreement, IDS releases all fixes and software improvements, as well as Documentation Updates to all registered licensees with a Maintenance and Support Agreement.

How much is the BD_Plot software License and will you continue to support it? 
The software license for bd_plot is free for all BD Licensees.  Although we are in the process of replacing the bd_plot with IDS' Windows based GUI (See BD2GUI), we will continue to support the bd_plot program as long as our users continue to use it.

BDM3D Bridge Design Modeler 3D  FAQ
Here are answers to many questions about the product: 

I have five engineers, can they each use the Studio CD? 
BDM3D Modules are licensed PER USER. Each user must have their own copy of the CD. Our support system is configured to track this based on customer product registration. 

Do I get updates and support with BDM3D Modules? 
Yes, each BDM3D Module INCLUDES the standard IDS subscriptions for each product. For example, with BDM3D - Section Properties, you receive unlimited web-based support on this product and also updates for a complete year starting from date of purchase. 

I want BDM3D - Section Properties, but I don't want subscriptions, can I order Section Properties without subscriptions? 
Yes, all BDM3D products and subscriptions can be purchased individually if you wish to unbundle subscriptions. 

If IDS releases a new product, will I automatically receive it? 
BDM3D customers with subscriptions will have access to every product and beta shipped by IDS.  

What is upgrade pricing? 
Upgrade pricing gives existing IDS customers the option to upgrade for one low price to a BDM3D model. Of course, customers can continue to buy IDS products and subscriptions individually if you wish. 

Can I buy an individual IDS product today and then upgrade tomorrow? 
No, you must own the individual product for at least 60 days until you are eligible for upgrade pricing. 

If I own 3 products, do I pay the same upgrade price I would pay if I only had one product? 
Yes. Regardless of how many products, the upgrade price is the same. We have set a very aggressive upgrade price, which will still be to your advantage no matter how many products you already own. It is important to note that each product you own makes you eligible for upgrade pricing, so you have three existing IDS products, you can buy three BDM3D licenses at upgrade prices.
