Complex Bridges require complex engineering with time-dependent modeling and analysis, which cannot be performed economically by hand. Competitor’s software applications perform some analysis “in a vacuum” – lacking the interactive features needed for engineers to optimize their designs.

IDS has knowledge and experience, a strong market position and reputation in the field. In the past decade, we have developed leading Bridge Design Software products, an excellent reputation and a strong track record. For a fraction of the cost of traditional methods, our software will help you:

  • Win Complex Bridge Projects competitions
  • Analyze and Design More Efficiently
  • Save Time and Money in producing optimized design
  • Integrate Design-Analysis with CAD Operations
  • Share concepts, e-models and technical drawings
  • Provide expert construction consulting services

IDS' ultimate goal is to change the way Bridge Engineers work with computers and software. Currently, engineers use software to check (analyze) the feasibility and adequacy of their design (a bridge structure). They perform an "analysis" and iterate to refine the design. Our goal is to provide a responsive "interactive design" environment.

Areas of Interest and Development:

Conceptual Design
Modeling, Conception & Evaluation

Analysis
2D and 3D Analysis of Construction Stages
In-Service

Team Based Final Design & Production
Code Stress Checks
CAD, Drafting Interaction & Integration
Web Cooperation and Exchange

Construction: Casting & Erection – Contractor Support
Geometry Control
As-Cast – As-Erected Evaluations

BD2 uses basic matrix structural analysis formulation combined with time-dependent material properties, to carry out a Time Simulation of a structure under construction. During this process, all stress conditions are checked at every construction step and in service.

BD3 provides a 3-dimensional environment in which it performs a time simulation of construction stages for concrete pre- and post-tensioned structures.

The MC3D geometry control program Is used to monitor the casting operations and establish “as-cast” curves step-by-step to verify that the actual superstructure geometry is in close agreement with the geometry described in the design documents.
